Piñolywood Studios

Piñolywood Studios was founded in 2015 as a movie production studio focused on films made in Puerto Rico benefiting from the Puerto Rico Film Incentives provided by the Economic Development Department of Puerto Rico.    Why the name?   PÑONES..is an oceanfront natural preserve in the in the north coast of Puerto Rico  known for its mangroves, lagoons and natural beauty.  The area is a surfers paradise, one of the best urban snook and tarpon fishing spots in the world and has one the most beautiful bike and jogging trails in the world.   An ocean front land preserve and sportsman’s paradise inspired our name.

Piñolywood Studios strategy is to broaden the distribution and revenue potential of Puerto Rican films.  These sources of revenue include sponsorships, product integrations, promotions, licensing among others.  Part of the strategy is to have the films distributed in markets outside of Puerto Rico, principally the US Hispanic Market, the Dominican Republic and ultimately the 200 million Spanish speakers in the world.
